Sen. Grassley and Sen. Graham release less redacted
version of their memo re: Christopher Steele
... The memo complains that this means he lied about his
contacts ...
This is the
publication of a massively redacted version of the referral sent by
Senators Grassley and Lindsey Graham to Deputy Attorney
General Rod Rosenstein requesting that the Justice Department consider whether
a criminal prosecution of Christopher Steele, the compiler of the Trump
Dossier, should be brought.
MEMORANDUM (U) FROM:
Charles E. Grassley, Chairman, U S. Senate

Analysis Refutes
Criminal Referral of Christopher Steele Feb 09 2018 Washington—Senate Judiciary
Committee Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) today released a minority
view analysis on behalf of all Judiciary Committee Democrats of the Christopher
Steele criminal referral sent last month by Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
Two senior GOP
senators on Monday released a copy of their request for a criminal probe of
Christopher Steele, the author of a controversial dossier on President Donald
Trump's ties to Russia, which alleges that he received information from an ally
of Hillary Clinton while the Democrat's campaign was financing his work.
Here is the full and
unredacted FISA Memo, released by the House
Intelligence Committee today. The Independent, UK, explains: "The memo, written House Intelligence Committee Chairman
Devin Nunes' staff, focuses on a FISA warrant against former Trump campaign aid
Carter Page during the 2016 campaign.
Additionally,
the Grassley-Graham letter asks for any contacts between
DNC officials and Cody Shearer. According to the Jan. 30 Guardian, Christopher
Steele handed a copy of a memo written by
Shearer to the FBI in October 2016, as "corroborative" of the
outrageous claims made by Steele. Cody Shearer, according to press accounts, is
a long ...
Grassley's memo was
originally written Jan. 4, when he, joined by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.),
pro-vided it to the relevant Justice Department and FBI au-thorities, demanding
a criminal investigation of Steele. The memo states,
"It is troubling enofugh that the Clin - ton Campaign funded Mr. Steele's
work, but that these

The Grassley/Graham memo asserts
that Steele either lied to the FBI, and or the dossier contained false
information. Again - the FISA court was blissfully unaware of this as the FBI
was knowingly using false information in their desperate and partisan
witch-hunt against Trump.
With its verification
by the Grassley-Graham memo, the
Nunes memo now has about a thousand times more
corroboration than the Steele dossier, the basis of the heinous allegations
used by the Justice Department and FBI to get the FISA warrants. What the Grassley-Graham memo tells us
is that the Nunes memo, for all the hysteria about
it, was tame.

Feb 05, 2018 · A House Intelligence Committee memo released Friday alleges that Steele's
unverified dossier on Trump's alleged ties with Russia was used by the FBI and
DOJ to obtain a FISA warrant for Trump ...
According to Grassley and Graham, the answer will likely come
down to the footnotes, and possibly one in particular, No. 8 on the Oct. 21,
2016, FISA application for Page. "The FBI noted to a vaguely limited
extent the political origins of the dossier," they say in the Steele
criminal referral.
"The Grassley-Graham is further vindication of the House
Intelligence Committee memo that
alleges the FBI knowingly used a DNC and Clinton campaign-funded dossier to
obtain a secret FISA court warrant against a Trump campaign official and hid
that fact from the FISA court. While much of the referral is redacted, there
are several key findings.

Taking down the man
behind the memos — declassified
Republican memos skewer the former
British spy who investigated Trump and Russia. That letter, along with the
controversial memo, is at the heart of a heated
back-and-forth between Democrats and Republicans over Steele's credibility and
his role in fueling the early stages of the FBI's Russia investigation.
Yesterday
evening, Grassley and Graham delivered to Senate Security a
letter and classified memorandum for delivery to Deputy Attorney General Rod
Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray containing information that forms
the basis of the referral.

innuendo to convince the FISA court to issue surveillance warrants against

The Grassley memo also
points to a second anti-Trump dossier which Steele and the Obama State
Department involved in, along with Clinton "hatchet man" Cody
Shearer. According to the referral, Steele wrote the additional memo based on anti-Trump information that
originated with a foreign source.

DiGenova:
"The Grassley-Graham memo and letter establishes beyond any doubt that
the FBI knowingly deceived the FISA court about the information that it was
presenting to them, lied to them about the fact that it was verified information,
which it was not, which the law requires.
Trump dossier author

I'm starting to have a
hard time keeping track of all these memos. Sens. Grassley and Graham released a memo Tuesday.Their memo reveals
that Clinton campaign associates fed Christopher Steele possible allegations
against Trump while he was compiling the phony dossier.
The unredacted Grassley memo claims
that: 1) Steele lied to the FBI about his media contacts 2) Even *after* the
FBI knew Steele was the source of the media stories, they LIED to the FISA
court about this & *still* proffered the Isikoff article to the Court.
