WISCONSIN TUTORED AMERICA

By Wisconsin the nation was tutored.
The ruling elite's minions, were neutered.
A lesson on democracy America learned.
By action of the people democracy is earned.

TWILIGHT by Justice William O. Douglas

"As nightfall does not come at once,
neither does oppression.
In both instances there is a twilight
where everything remains seemingly unchanged.

And it is in such twilight
that we all must be aware
of change in the air --however slight--
lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."

SIDE SHOWS WITH CARNIVAL BARKERS

Side shows with carnival barkers.
Distract the electorate with non-starters.
These ruling class monopoly media players,
Support the “Party of NO” naysayers.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Time indeed changes manners and notions,
and so far we must expect institutions to bend to them.
But time produces also corruption of principles,
and against this it is the duty of good citizens
to be ever on the watch,
and if the gangrene is to prevail at last,
let the day be kept off as long as possible.

MEDIA MONOPOLY DISINFORMATION

A well informed electorate is not easily deceived.
Media monopoly insures disinformation is received.
Democracy in America the ruling class does reject.
Reliable information American democracy must protect.

THE LOOMING DOUBLE DIP RECESSION

The right wing sociopath mantra is “starve the beast”.
Then on this country's carcass they plan to feast.
Civilization in not a sociopath's need.
In fact civilization is contrary to their plan to succeed.

The right wing sociopaths would extinguish liberty's light.
They would force on America a shameless blight.
Last recession they nearly destroyed this great nation.
Next recession they will be subject to the law's discretion.

When sociopaths' minions make the next stock market bubble burst.
When the right wing sociopaths force the worst.
Americans under one banner will reunite.
Voting against the right wing sociopath's in united fight.

America may be hurt. The country may be bleeding.
Their worst dream the ruling class will be seeing.
America will not be privatized in a nationwide sale.
Americans will not allow democracy, truth and justice to fail.

In order to rebuild the national credit profile,
Too big to fail” institutions will not smile.
There will be no bailouts for financial bosses.
This country will not socialize private losses.

It will be necessary to nationalize any too “big to fail” bank.
And nationalize too the Federal Reserve “money tank”.
Too big to fail” businesses treated in the public interest properly.
Monopolies and natural resources, the country's assets, will become public property.

Terminations for convenience of the government will be used liberally.
Prosecution for any financial and business criminals that acted illegally.
Markets speculator and manipulator profits, it will be necessary to confiscate.
These and more remedies will be instituted as circumstances necessitate.

which are not cured in one way
will cure themselves in some other." --THOMAS JEFFERSON

THE LOOMING DEBT CEILING CRISIS

Raising the debt ceiling is just another ruse.
Too many Americans have too little to lose.
They've lost their dreams, homes, savings and jobs.
Screw the net worth of the fat cat ruling class snobs.

The fat cat ruling class snobs have the most to lose.
To rescue their wealth Americans do not choose.
America is not the special interests' for plundering.
The spirit of “1776” is no longer slumbering.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"It is unfortunate that
the efforts of mankind to recover the freedom
of which they have been so long deprived,
will be accompanied with violence,
with errors, and even with crimes.
But while we weep over the means,
we must pray for the end."

A Band of Sociopaths

A band of sociopaths had America in their grasp.
Then the people of Wisconsin kicked their ass.
Now all of the states' voters are on red alert.
They will not let sociopaths turn our democracy to dirt.
----------------------------------------------------------------
"The spirit of our citizens,...
rising with a strength and majesty
which show the loveliness of freedom,
will make this government in practice
what it is in principle,
a model for the protection of man
in a state of freedom and order."

THE REPUBLICAN'S GREAT MYSTERY

Republicans are always on the wrong side of history.
When a new age dawns to them has always been mystery.
Invest in the country and the people, not in the banks.
Do it now before your net worth tanks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Experience declares that man is the only animal which devours
his own kind, for I can apply no milder term to...the general
prey of the rich on the poor." --Thomas Jefferson to Edward
Carrington, 1787.

MONDAY MORNING DEMOCRATS

Last November Obama took a trouncing.
Obama, some Democrats are denouncing.
What game are these Democrats are playing.
A game that keeps the Republicans rejoicing.

Support Obama, you're setting a bad precedent.
Stand behind the Democratic Party's only President.
Where were the Democrats for last November's election?
Concentrate on getting out the vote, not sowing more dissension.

THE TRAITOR by Marcus Tullius Cicero:
A nation can survive its fools,
and even the ambitious.

But it cannot survive treason from within.

An enemy at the gates is less formidable,
for he is known and carries his banner openly.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely,
his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys,
heard in the very halls of government itself.

For the traitor appears not a traitor;
he speaks in accents familiar to his victims,
and he wears their face and their arguments,
he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men.

He rots the soul of a nation,
he works secretly and unknown in the night
to undermine the pillars of the city,
he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist.
A murderer is less to fear.

The traitor is the plague.”

The Professional Right and the Professional Left

Critics to the right, critics to the left.
President Obama gets short shrift.
Put the President in a box.
Give him some hard knocks.

The professional left and the professional right,
spread discord and confusion to the Republican's delight.
A house divided cannot stand.
It's just show business for this merry band.

"The spirit of 1776 is not dead. It has only been slumbering. … ... But [the people's] virtuous feelings have been played on by some fact with more fiction; they have been the dupes of artful maneuvers, and made for a moment to be willing instruments in forging chains for themselves. But times and truth dissipated the delusion, and opened their eyes." --Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Lomax, 1799. ME 10:123

WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT !!!

There are many excuses for the intellectually lazy.
Their thought processes are lethargic and hazy.
The Democrats should do this, and Obama should do that.
We all only need vote to take our government back.

There are so few of them and so many of us.
So get out and vote instead of making a fuss.
Cowards don't vote for our rights and avoid the fight.
Low voter turnout is this country's corrosive plight.

Carl Sagan, "The Fine Art of Baloney Detection,"

One of the saddest lessons of history is this:
If we've been bamboozled long enough,
we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle.
We're no longer interested in finding out the truth.
The bamboozle has captured us.
It is simply too painful to acknowledge
-- even to ourselves --
that we've been so credulous.
(So the old bamboozles tend to persist
as the new bamboozles rise.)

-- Carl Sagan, "The Fine Art of Baloney Detection," Parade, February 1, 1987

Finding the occasional straw of truth awash
in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle
requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage.
But if we don't practice these tough habits of thought,
we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us
-- and we risk becoming a nation of suckers,
up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along.

-- Carl Sagan, "The Fine Art of Baloney Detection," Parade, February 1, 1987

At the heart of science is an essential tension
between two seemingly contradictory attitudes
-- an openness to new ideas, no matter how bizarre or counter intuitive they may be,
and the most ruthless skeptical scrutiny of all ideas, old and new.
This is how deep truths are winnowed from deep nonsense.
Of course, scientists make mistakes
in trying to understand the world,
but there is a built-in error-correcting mechanism:
The collective enterprise of creative thinking
and skeptical thinking together keeps the field on track.

-- Carl Sagan, "The Fine Art of Baloney Detection," Parade, February 1, 1987

Vote and You're a Soldier in Our Democratic Fight.

It is through voting our country stays free.
The right to vote retains our freedom and liberty.
Since 1776 many have died to defend this right.
Vote and you're a soldier in our democratic fight.
