The FBI Reportedly Paid for Infamous 'Trump Dossier'

In May of this year, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records of communications and payments between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele and his private firm, Orbis Business Intelligence.

The lawsuit is related to the infamous Trump dossier obtained by Fusion GPS, which contracted Steele and his firm to collect compromising information about then-candidate Donald Trump.
